Base Oil

Base oil is the name given to lubrication grade oils initially produced from refining crude oil or through chemical synthesis. Base oil is typically defined as oil with a boiling point range between 285 and 565 テつーC, consisting of hydrocarbons with 18 to 40 carbon atoms. Some grades of Base oil include SN 150, SN 500 and SN 600.

Applications

Base oils are used to manufacture products including lubricating greases, motor oil, metal processing fluids, rubber products, white and paraffin oil and so on.
